Former Maria Wörth mayor Adolf Stark dies

Former Maria Wörth mayor Adolf Stark has died at the age of 76, ORF reports. Stark led the municipality for 18 years and served in the Carinthian state parliament for 14 years.

The Freedom Party politician was independent by the end of his career. He was also known beyond Carinthia as one of the founders of the GTI meeting.

Carinthia Freedom Party leader Erwin Angerer said Stark would be remembered as a long-time political companion for his experience, his connection to Carinthia and, above all, as a great person.
