EVN lifts profit by more than 20 percent
Energy supplier EVN increased revenue by 3.1 percent to 2.43 billion euros and profit by 20.8 percent to 525.1 million euros in the first three quarters of its 2025/26 financial year, ORF reported on Thursday.
The profit increase was driven in part by EVN KG, which is responsible for energy sales, as well as investment results and a dividend from Verbund. Contributions from RAG, Burgenland Energie and Verbund-Innkraftwerke were below the previous year’s levels.
Operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 4.9 percent to 748.5 million euros. Operating profit increased 3 percent to 460.4 million euros. The financial result improved 8.1 percent to 288.1 million euros, helped by investment results and the Verbund dividend. Earnings before tax rose 6.6 percent to 576.3 million euros.
EVN reduced net debt from 1.16 billion euros to 942.2 million euros during the financial year, mainly through proceeds from the sale of its international project business, the company said.
EVN now expects consolidated profit for the full year to reach between 470 million and 490 million euros. At the half-year stage, it had forecast a range of 430 million to 480 million euros.
