Vorarlberg is extending a pilot project providing psychological care for children and young people and will expand it to include people up to the age of 25, ORF reports.
Since June 2025, four clinical psychologists at the Institute for Social Services have been focusing on treating children and adolescents. By the end of July, they had cared for 137 young people. The waiting time for a treatment place was only a few weeks, state councillor Martina Rüscher said in a social media post.
The project will run for another three years. Demand is also high among young adults, with 898 young people receiving treatment at the institute between January 2025 and July 2026.
