Lufthansa A380 damages runway lights in Munich landing

A Lufthansa Airbus A380 landed too early at Munich Airport on Monday evening, damaging runway lighting. No one was injured, BR reported.

The airline said all 351 passengers were able to leave the aircraft safely. The lighting at the runway threshold was damaged during the landing.

The incident occurred two days after a Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 nearly overshot the end of the same runway during takeoff. The aircraft managed to take off, but runway lights were also damaged in that incident.
