Golser Volksfest draws 85,000 visitors with slight increase

The 57th Golser Volksfest attracted around 85,000 visitors over ten days, a slight increase on the previous year, ORF reported. Organiser Dieter Horvath said he was satisfied with the event.

The festival’s busiest day was last Saturday, when around 13,000 people attended. There were very few incidents, and Horvath said the security plan had worked. The nine themed sections, featuring different music genres, also proved successful.

The Burgenland Expo trade fair was held over only four days for the first time this year, while the number of exhibitors doubled.

Planning for the 2027 festival is already under way. Pop singer Melissa Naschenweng is scheduled to open the event on August 6, 2027.
