Car overturns on A1, injuring family of four

A family of four was injured in a crash on the A1 western motorway near Haag in the Amstetten district on Sunday, ORF reported. The car apparently overturned for an as yet unknown reason.

The father suffered serious injuries, while the mother and their children, aged six and 12, were slightly injured. The car came to rest on its roof.

According to police, the Serbian nationals had been travelling towards Linz in the early morning when the vehicle ended up on the opposite carriageway after the crash.

An emergency medical helicopter took the father to hospital. The mother and the children were taken to hospital by ambulance.
