E-scooter crash leaves 17-year-old with life-threatening injuries

A 17-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in an e-scooter crash in Schlosshof, in the Gänserndorf district, overnight into Sunday, ORF reported. He was flown to a hospital in Vienna.
Police said the Slovak teenager was travelling with a 16-year-old on the same e-scooter at about 50 km/h on the access road to the Schlosshof bicycle bridge when he fell for an unknown reason.
The second teenager suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Hainburg State Hospital, where he received outpatient treatment. The 17-year-old was flown by the Christophorus 2 emergency helicopter to Donaustadt Clinic in Vienna.
