Search teams deploy after hiker goes missing in Hochschwab

About 80 emergency responders are searching for a missing hiker in the Hochschwab mountain range, ORF reported. Two helicopters are also taking part in the operation.

The approximately 20-year-old man set out alone from Seewiesen on Saturday morning for a mountain tour. His family was unable to reach him shortly afterwards.

When he failed to return home that evening, relatives reported him missing. Mountain rescue, fire brigade, police and Red Cross teams began the search around midday on Sunday.
