Motorcyclist injured after colliding with sheep on Alpine road

A 37-year-old motorcyclist was injured after colliding with a sheep on the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road in Gurgl on Saturday afternoon, ORF reported.

Police said the sheep suddenly ran onto the road at around 2 p.m. The motorcyclist was apparently unable to avoid it, collided with the animal and fell.

The sheep then returned to its herd and was believed to have escaped injury. The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries was initially unknown.
