Dog attacks jogger in Grieskirchen and owner walks away

A 47-year-old jogger was seriously injured after a pit bull terrier attacked her on a field path in Grieskirchen on Saturday morning, ORF reported. The dog bit her in the left thigh before its owner continued walking.

The woman from Grieskirchen was jogging at about 7.30am along the Trattnach from the Grieskirchen outdoor swimming pool towards Unternberg when she encountered an unidentified woman with a white pit bull terrier with light-brown patches.

The dog attacked without warning. The owner, who was described as being in her mid-30s with red-blonde hair, did not respond and walked on.

The injured jogger made it back to the swimming pool, where a passer-by took her to Grieskirchen hospital. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Grieskirchen police station on 059133/4230.
