17-year-old dies after motorcycle crash in Styria

A 17-year-old from Graz has died from severe injuries suffered when his motorcycle crashed into the barrier system at a company premises in Wundschuh, in the Graz-Umgebung district, ORF reported.

The crash happened at about 9 p.m. on July 31. The teenager fell after hitting the barrier for reasons that remain unclear. He suffered serious head injuries, was treated by the Red Cross emergency medical team and taken to LKH Graz hospital, where he later died.

Police believe the teenager was travelling near the company premises with several other young people and their motorcycles at the time. Initial findings suggest he hit the barrier at high speed. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
