Police stopped a motorhome in Salzburg’s Schallmoos district after its driver and passenger used hands protruding from the side windows, along with warning vests, to signal turns, ORF reported.

The unusual method was used because all of the vehicle’s indicators were defective. Officers stopped the motorhome on Sterneckstraße at midday on Monday and inspected it.

A further examination by the provincial vehicle inspection centre found several additional defects.

Because the 42-year-old driver from Berlin could not repair the problems at the scene, police confiscated both licence plates and the vehicle registration document and banned the pair from continuing their journey. The driver and passenger were also reported.
