Cyclist stops attack on parking warden in Spittal

ORF reports that a 66-year-old man attacked a parking warden in Spittal after she issued him a ticket for illegally parking. A passing cyclist intervened and stopped the assault.

The warden was issuing the ticket on a municipal road in Spittal district on Monday when the vehicle’s owner noticed her actions and became aggressive. He allegedly insulted her, struck her in the face and pulled her hair, dragging her towards the ground.

The cyclist saw what was happening and rushed to help. The man then released the warden.

The woman suffered injuries of unspecified severity and received medical treatment. The 66-year-old will be reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
