A hacker attack disrupted computer systems at the Upper Austria Chamber of Labour on Monday morning, affecting its email servers and telephone system, ORF reported. There is currently no indication that data was taken from the chamber’s servers.
Director Andrea Heimberger told ORF Upper Austria that there was also no indication of who was behind the attack.
Some systems were restored during the morning. Legal and consumer advice services could again be reached through their direct telephone numbers.
Members of the chamber must still expect delays on Monday, while some employees remain unreachable by phone. Heimberger asked members for patience until all staff can be contacted again.
