Hungarian holidaymaker seriously injured after rope swing fall

A 25-year-old holidaymaker from Hungary was seriously injured after falling from a rope swing at the Freibach reservoir in Gallizien, in the Völkermarkt district, ORF reported.

The woman wanted to swing into the water on Saturday at about 3:50 p.m. Police said she did not have enough strength to reach the lake. She fell about four metres onto her back and remained in the shoreline area with serious injuries.

Her partner immediately provided first aid and alerted emergency services. Rescue workers treated her before she was flown by the RK1 helicopter to Klagenfurt Hospital.
