Cyclist finds fatal crash wreck days after accident

ORF reported that a 33-year-old man from the Eferding district was killed in a road crash near Aschach an der Donau. A cyclist discovered the wreck and the man’s body on Saturday morning.

The crash is believed to have happened during the night from Thursday to Friday. The car overturned several times after being launched over an earth mound, leaving it partly hidden from the road.

The man’s uncle had reported him missing on Friday, according to police.

Investigators have not yet determined why the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. Police said initial findings ruled out the involvement of another party. The time of death could be dated with a fairly high degree of accuracy to the night before Friday.
