Leier Group buys precast concrete plant in Poland

The Leier Group is taking over Holcim Polska’s precast concrete plant in Sochaczew, Poland, expanding its production network in the country to eight locations, ORF reported.

The plant specialises in reinforced-concrete precast components for residential construction and infrastructure. The transaction includes the facility and its production equipment and is intended to expand Leier Polska’s product range.

More than 10 million euros will be invested in new machinery, according to the company.

“The takeover of the Sochaczew plant is another important step in implementing our development strategy in Poland,” Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, vice-president of Leier Polska, said in a statement. “The investment strengthens our presence in central Poland, enables even more efficient customer service and optimises our logistics and delivery processes.”
