Police escort 88-year-old cyclist from S33 expressway

Police escorted an 88-year-old woman to safety after she got onto the Kremser Schnellstraße (S33), an expressway near Traismauer in the St. Pölten district, ORF reported.

Several motorists called police on Wednesday afternoon to report the woman travelling along the expressway with her bicycle. She was pushing it on the hard shoulder, police told noe.ORF.at.

Officers from the Krems motorway police removed her from the expressway. No one was injured. It is unclear how the woman ended up there, and police said she would be reported.
