Police catch two drunk drivers taking turns in unregistered car

Police stopped an unregistered car with no number plates in Rohrbach-Berg after two men had taken turns driving while intoxicated, ORF reported.
The car drew the attention of a police patrol in the town at about 5.15pm on Tuesday. A 20-year-old from the Rohrbach district was behind the wheel when officers stopped it. His breath test showed 0.68 per mille, and he did not have a driving licence.
The passenger was the car’s owner, a 44-year-old Ukrainian man from the district. Police said inquiries indicated that he had driven the car earlier. His breath test showed 2.22 per mille, and officers took his driving licence.
The regional police directorate had not yet specified what charges the men would face.
