The province of Styria has launched a campaign and website listing support services for people affected by sexual violence, ORF reported. The services are available anonymously and free of charge.

The campaign, titled “We are here for you”, aims to help people find someone to contact, a step that Social Affairs Provincial Councillor Hannes Amesbauer said can be difficult after sexual violence. The website also aims to explain the subject in clear language.

The campaign will seek to reach young people through social media, including influencers and prominent people in Styria, alongside traditional communications. Michaela Gosch of the women’s shelters said it could help reach people more widely. Christian Scambor of Men’s Counselling Styria said the campaign could prompt people to think about the issue.

The listed services are available to people affected at any time of day or night, anonymously and free of charge.
