Car catches fire after hitting bus on S4

A car caught fire after crashing into the rear of a bus on the S4 expressway near Bad Sauerbrunn overnight into Wednesday, leaving one person seriously injured, ORF reported.

Firefighters were called at 12:44 a.m. and found the car engulfed in flames and the bus damaged at the rear. The cause of the collision has not yet been established.

The Red Cross took the injured person to the trauma unit at a hospital in Wiener Neustadt. Firefighters brought the blaze under control and removed the car. Crews from Bad Sauerbrunn, Mattersburg and Neudörfl attended.
