Voitsberg parts ways with head coach Philipp Zulechner

ASK Voitsberg has parted ways with head coach Philipp Zulechner with immediate effect, citing a lack of sporting progress, ORF reports.

The newly promoted second-division side sits 12th in the table after losing 2-0 away to Sturm Graz II on Saturday. Zulechner’s record across 13 league and ÖFB Cup matches this season was four wins and six defeats.

Club president Michael Münzer said the board had a responsibility for the team’s sporting development and future, and thanked Zulechner for his work. Sporting director Sebastian Szvetits said the club believed a change was needed to bring fresh impetus.

Assistant coach Stefan Nutz will take charge on an interim basis. Voitsberg’s next match is against Kapfenberg on Sunday.
