Balcony fire forces evacuation of Klagenfurt apartment building

A candle set balcony furniture alight at an apartment building in Klagenfurt overnight, prompting the evacuation of the entire building. No one was injured, ORF reported.

The fire broke out at about 1.55am on Monday. A 76-year-old tenant had lit the candle and later discovered the balcony furniture was on fire when he went to put it out.
