Eisenstadt’s city cemetery will host a new space for people to reflect and grieve on All Saints’ Day, ORF Burgenland reports. The room will be open on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visitors can take part in different activities, including making candles, browsing books and marking a farewell through rituals. The initiative also aims to highlight the importance of grief support.

“This room invites people to give space to their own grief,” said Ursula Weirer of the Mobile Hospice Team Eisenstadt. “It is a place to pause and reflect on memories and grief. Grief is allowed to simply be there.”

The Red Cross hospice and visiting service will also be present and available for conversations. Its 29 volunteers support people with life-threatening illnesses and their relatives. The service is free and operates in the districts of Eisenstadt, Mattersburg and Neusiedl am See.
