Unknown perpetrators killed cat and mounted it on a cross

Unknown perpetrators tortured and killed a cat in Admont, in the Liezen district, then fastened its body to a makeshift cross, ORF reported.

Passers-by reported finding the dead cat on a cross beside a road on the morning of October 14. Police found the animal’s body screwed to the roughly one-metre-high structure.

A veterinarian’s examination indicated that the black cat had been tortured while still alive before being shot. The perpetrators then screwed its body onto the cross.

Police investigations have so far been unsuccessful. Admont police are asking anyone with information to call 059133/6341.
