Overheated wood chips trigger fire service call in Treffen

Overheated wood chips prompted a fire service response at a wood-chip storage facility in Treffen am Ossiacher See overnight, ORF reported.

Fire brigades from Treffen, Winklern-Einöde and Sattendorf were called out at 1 a.m. on Monday. They had to turn over the wood chips, according to the regional alarm and warning centre.

The operation ended at about 6:30 a.m.
