Man threatened car occupants with a field knife

A 58-year-old man threatened the occupants of three cars with a field knife along the B1 in Vöcklabruck overnight on Saturday, ORF reported, citing police.

Police said the man, from the Gmunden district, also scratched the bonnets of two of the vehicles. He is also alleged to have threatened a taxi driver, saying: “Get out, then you’re dead.”

Police arrested the man without resistance after people involved called them. He was taken to a correctional facility.
