Taxi driver dies after car plunges into ravine near Karres

A 57-year-old taxi driver died after his car left the Tirol Road near Karres and plunged about 80 metres into a ravine on Sunday morning, ORF reported.
Police said the driver was finishing a night shift when, for reasons that remain unknown, his car went through a guardrail and fell into the ravine.
About 50 members of the volunteer fire brigades from Karres and Imst attended. The recovery operation was difficult.
