Serbian citizens waited up to four hours to vote at polling stations in Vienna, ORF reported, as long queues formed outside all four locations.

About 75,998 Serbian citizens live in Vienna, and around 7,000 registered to vote, according to media reports. The Standard reported that the number of Serbian citizens registered to vote in Austria had doubled since the 2023 election. Nationwide, 10,484 people registered.

There are no longer polling stations in Graz, and voting is also unavailable in nearby Bratislava. Many voters were believed to have travelled to Vienna instead. Polling stations in the city are open until 20:00.

A recent report by Serbian investigative outlet KRIK also caused concern. It alleged that members of a Serbian association in Vienna helped people register to vote and sometimes asked about their political views. Secretly recorded videos reportedly show that help was offered only to people who supported Aleksandar Vucic and his Serbian Progressive Party, known as SNS.
