Vandals cause total loss of convertible in Söll

Unknown perpetrators caused damage so extensive that a convertible was written off after an attack in Söll, ORF reported. Police suspect five young people were involved and are asking witnesses to come forward.

The car was parked on Stampfanger Street in Söll, in Kufstein district. Between 12.20am and 2.30am on Tuesday, the perpetrators smashed all the windows, bent the doors and tore off the convertible roof. They also ransacked the interior, slashed the seat covers and scratched the paintwork.

Police believe a group of five young people may have arrived partly on foot and partly in two vehicles: a dark passenger car and a white small or compact car. The vehicles, which may have been a VW Golf or Opel Astra, left the car park towards Söll at about 2.12am. The white car returned briefly at 2.29am, police said.

Anyone with information about the people or vehicles is asked to contact Söll police station on 059133 7218.
