Emergency crews treat man with gunshot wounds in Vienna

A 35-year-old man with serious gunshot wounds was treated in an apartment in Vienna’s Penzing district on Monday, ORF reported. He was not in life-threatening condition.

The Vienna Professional Ambulance Service began its response shortly before 1 p.m. The man was later admitted to hospital for treatment.

Police were notified after it became clear that the man had been shot. The circumstances remain unclear, and the State Criminal Police Office is investigating. Police said they would not release further details for now so as not to jeopardise the investigation.
