Atomic will appoint finance chief Michael Absmaier as its new president at the end of the year, replacing Wolfgang Mayrhofer, who is retiring after more than four decades with the company, ORF reported Monday.
Mayrhofer has led the winter sports equipment maker since December 2007. He will continue to advise parent company Amer Sports after his retirement.
Anssi Lampinen, who is moving from Amer Sports, will take over as Atomic’s chief financial officer on 1 January 2027.
Amer Sports’ portfolio also includes ski brand Salomon, Wilson tennis rackets and Arc’teryx outdoor clothing. The group is 40 per cent owned by Chinese sporting goods maker Anta Sports and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2024.
