Children throw stones onto A14, damaging cars

Two children or teenagers threw stones from a bridge onto the A14 motorway in Wolfurt on Saturday, damaging at least two cars, ORF reports. Police are seeking witnesses.

The incident happened at about 3 p.m. from the Montfortstrasse bridge over the Rheintal motorway. Both cars were travelling towards Germany. A stone smashed through the rear window of one of them, police said.

The suspects fled on an electric scooter and a bicycle. A search failed to find them. Witnesses are asked to contact Dornbirn motorway police on +43 59 133 8141 or another police station.

A similar incident was reported at the same bridge on Friday, when at least one car travelling towards Tyrol was damaged. Police said a connection between the two incidents cannot be ruled out.
