The largest flea market in the state of Salzburg opened to huge crowds on Friday near the Salzburg-Taxham S-Bahn station by Europark, ORF reported. The two-day event runs until 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Organised for the 62nd time by the Lions Club Hohensalzburg, the traditional market sells thousands of donated items to raise money for people in need in Salzburg. Goods on offer include toys, antiques, shoes and sports equipment.
The market has been held for the past 13 years on a square between Europark and Ikea. This year, construction work forced it to move to a nearby car park by the S-Bahn station.
The event raises more than 100,000 euros for people in need each year.
