Several injured in crash near Graz as emergency lane fails

A crash on the A2 motorway near Graz Airport left several people injured on Friday morning, ORF reported. Emergency crews were delayed because the emergency corridor did not work, according to the Austrian Red Cross.

Responders arrived partly by helicopter, but mainly in emergency vehicles.

In Austria, drivers are expected to form an emergency corridor in traffic jams by moving left-lane vehicles to the left and all other vehicles to the right.
