A compromise may keep the Martin 3 rescue helicopter in Scharnstein, ORF reports. Operator Heli-Austria and the ASKÖ flying club are prepared to make concessions, with a final decision expected in two to three weeks.
The dispute between Heli-Austria and the club lasted throughout the summer. Heli-Austria sought improvements to the infrastructure at Scharnstein airfield, but the club said it could not meet the demands as a non-profit organisation.
The disagreement led the club to send Heli-Austria a termination notice. Lawyers for both sides had been involved in recent discussions.
A Heli-Austria spokesperson told Radio Oberösterreich that it appeared the Martin 3 helicopter would remain in Scharnstein. The ASKÖ club has not commented.
