Police identify suspect in Grafenstein break-ins

Police have identified a 28-year-old man as a suspect in break-ins at a container and a construction company near Grafenstein between October 10 and 12, ORF reports. Electrical equipment, batteries and a surveying device were stolen.

The intruder forced open the container door and a window at the construction company. The stolen items were later offered for sale on an online marketplace.

Investigators found stolen goods in the suspect’s apartment that police say could be linked to several burglaries between September and October 2026. The Serbian citizen was arrested and questioned. He is being held at the police detention centre in Klagenfurt.
