Austrian skier Conny Hütter is approaching what is likely to be her final World Cup season with a relaxed outlook, ORF reports. After considering retirement, she decided over the summer to continue racing, with the World Championships in Crans-Montana her main goal.

Hütter said training had been especially enjoyable and that strong motivation had helped her get more out of the work. She spent more than four weeks at a training camp in Chile with her teammates, where snowfall and good conditions allowed them to make the most of their preparations. In the first 16 days, they skied on 14, at an altitude of 3,000 metres. She described the camp as intensive and said she was glad to be home.

With her preparations underway, Hütter is now working on details including equipment adjustments and finding the right feel on her skis. She said she wants to show everything she can in the races she has left, and is looking forward to competing if she can bring all aspects of her skiing together.
