Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash near Münzkirchen

A 33-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Münzkirchen, in the Schärding district, ORF reported. He was flown to a hospital in Passau after receiving first aid.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Ruholdingerstraße, or L 1172. The 51-year-old driver from Diersbach was not injured.

Both vehicles were written off. Fire brigades from Schießdorf and Eisenbirn secured the scene, dealt with spilled fluids and helped clear the wreckage. The Red Cross and police also attended.
