Carinthia’s final state-level funding round this year for solar panels and electricity storage systems opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, ORF reports.

Private households can receive up to €3,000 for a new solar installation, provided it was built this year, has a capacity of at least five kilowatt-peak and includes a storage system with at least five kilowatt-hours of capacity. Households adding such a storage system to an existing solar installation can apply for €1,000.

The state has set aside about €10 million for the round. Applications must be submitted online by December 31. Businesses, farmers and municipalities are also eligible, under different conditions.

A separate federal funding round, the third and final one this year, has been open since Thursday. It offers €38.5 million, more than originally planned, using funds left over from previous rounds. Applications can be submitted until October 22, but must be filed before the solar installation is commissioned.

Federal subsidies are due to be reoriented in 2027, with a focus on electricity storage and intelligent control systems.
