Fire breaks out at Oberpullendorf waste facility

A fire broke out at a waste facility in Oberpullendorf on Sunday morning, with pressed plastic waste believed to have caught fire, ORF reported.

Seven fire brigades, with around 140 emergency responders, were at the scene. District fire chief Martin Reidl said the situation was under control.

The cause of the fire has not yet been fully established. Final extinguishing work is expected to be completed in the coming hours.
