Kickl brings FPÖ autumn tour to Thalgau
FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl brought his party’s autumn tour to Thalgau on Saturday, where a crowd gathered despite rainy weather, ORF reported. Salzburg FPÖ leader and Deputy Governor Marlene Svazek also attended.
The event in Thalgau, in the Flachgau region, began at noon. Music was playing and vegetables were being handed out from a tractor on the market square. The FPÖ had expected about 500 visitors.
Speeches by Kickl and Svazek were scheduled for 2 p.m. Svazek’s party governs Salzburg alongside the ÖVP, while Kickl leads the opposition at federal level and pursues a confrontational course. The FPÖ is currently well ahead in federal opinion polls, ORF reported.
