Graz, pedestrian injury, traffic accident

An 81-year-old woman was seriously injured when a car struck her in Graz on Friday morning, ORF reported. The 77-year-old driver had apparently failed to see the pedestrian, who fell after the collision.

The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. on Glacisstraße, as the driver turned towards a car park near Kaiser-Josef-Platz. The car hit the woman at low speed while she was walking in the same direction beside the road.

The driver was uninjured, and the car sustained no damage. Breath tests showed that neither woman had consumed alcohol.
