A 45-year-old Hungarian man is suspected of taking up to 100 euros per workday by manipulating sales records at a gas station in the Pinzgau, ORF reported on Thursday, citing police.

Police say he allegedly pretended to process customers’ purchases at the till but did not enter the full amounts into the cash register. At the end of each day, he is suspected of keeping the resulting surplus and handing over only the correctly recorded takings.

Investigators are still determining how long the alleged scheme continued and the total amount involved. Police said video surveillance footage helped establish what happened. The man has been reported to the authorities.
