Sport-fashion manufacturer Eisbär plans to cut 14 of its 50 jobs and close its Feldkirchen an der Donau facility by the end of the year, ORF reported. Production will move to Poland and China.

The workforce has been informed of the plans, according to the report. Eisbär intends to keep its headquarters in Upper Austria, but has not yet decided where it will be based.

Managing director Thorsten Grönlund cited rising payroll costs, higher infrastructure and energy expenses, and international price and competitive pressure as reasons for the restructuring. The current lease, which is expiring, also played a role in the decision and was not renewed.
