Vienna police have arrested six men suspected of drug dealing and seized about 11 kilograms of cocaine, including from a hotel room in Lower Austria, ORF reported on Monday.

Investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office had been tracking a suspected drug-dealing group since early June. Last Thursday, they identified a location linked to the group and, with support from the WEGA special unit, placed one suspect under surveillance, police spokesperson Irina Steirer said.

The six men arrested were three Albanian nationals aged 46, 42 and 38, and three Italian nationals aged 72, 53 and 23. The arrests took place near the town of Schwechat, which borders Vienna and is in the Bruck an der Leitha district. Police did not release further details.

Officers found a hotel key card during the operation. A search of the room in Lower Austria uncovered cocaine, cash and several mobile phones. Police said the total amount of cocaine seized was about 11 kilograms.
