A 22-year-old driver was stopped after travelling at 124 km/h in a built-up area of Klagenfurt, where the speed limit was 50 km/h, ORF reported. Police temporarily confiscated her driving licence.
Officers measured the speed at about 9.30pm on Sunday. They followed the driver, who did not initially stop and made a risky overtaking manoeuvre at an intersection.
She pulled over only after officers used the siren and repeatedly flashed their headlights. Police also found that the car lacked legally required equipment. The driver will be reported for multiple offences.
