Container fire in Wolfurt sends smoke into nearby homes

A burning rubbish container outside a wooden house in Wolfurt sent thick smoke into nearby homes on Sunday evening, ORF reported. The smoke also made it harder for firefighters to see.

Emergency crews were called shortly after 8 p.m. Firefighters tackled the blaze wearing breathing apparatus and used firefighting foam.

It is not yet known what materials were burning or what caused the fire.
