Armed robbers force 22-year-old to strip and surrender borrowed SUV
Two men armed with handguns forced a 22-year-old to strip and took his borrowed Range Rover in Vienna’s Favoriten district, ORF reported. The robbery happened overnight into Thursday near a petrol station on Triester Straße.
The men drove off in the white vehicle with the victim’s clothes, money, a key and mobile phone. The man ran to the petrol station and alerted police.
Police found the vehicle and the victim’s clothes on Buchengasse during an immediate search. The two suspects were gone. Witnesses saw the incident, but police said the motive was still unclear on Friday.
The suspects were described as about 1.8 metres tall and aged 20 to 30. One had short blond hair, a beard, blue jeans and a blue jacket. The other had short dark hair, a dark beard, blue jeans and a black jacket.
The Vienna State Criminal Police Office’s Southern branch is investigating and asked anyone with information to contact it, including anonymously, on 01-31310-57800.
