Suspects flee Germany after Innsbruck gun shop break-in
Suspects fled to Germany after breaking into a gun shop in Innsbruck early Friday, prompting a police search in Bavaria, ORF reported.
Police said the suspects escaped in a small van. A patrol spotted the vehicle on the Zirler Berg, where officers began a pursuit that lasted several kilometres. Police lost sight of the van near Mittenwald.
German police later found the crashed van with no one inside. The suspects had already fled, and a large-scale search was under way in Bavaria. Innsbruck’s State Criminal Police Office is investigating. Police had not released further details about the suspects or any goods taken.
